MSK

MSK Ayrshire and Arran have recently launched a new website to assist with the advice and management of musculoskeletal conditions. At present it contains information and exercises for OA knees, patellofemoral pain and chronic pain management. Although only recently launched early feedback shows an appetite for further information so over the next few months the website will be continually updated with other common MSK conditions.

Repeat Prescriptionsorange_pills (Regular Patients)

Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways.

  • By Phone - direct dial 01465 831600
  • By Hand - drop your repeat slip into the post box located on the wall outside dispensary within reception area, between the hours of 8.30am and 6pm.  Please ensure items are clearly marked.
  • By Post - enclosing a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.

Due to our rural location we can dispense prescription medication to most patients. You will be advised if you live outside of this location and be given a prescription to take to the chemist for collection.

Please note medicines cannot be collected at the same time as they are ordered. Collection times are between 09:00 - 11:00 and 15:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see either a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.

48_hoursPlease allow two full working days between requesting and collecting your medication.

Temporary Residents

Temporary residents requiring any medication must be seen by a GP.

If you forget to bring medication with you, we can issue you with sufficient medication to see you through the duration of your stay.  Regular repeat medication should be issued by your usual GP.

If you become ill during your stay we can issue you with acute medications following a GP appointment with one of our doctors.

We cannot dispense medication issued by another Practice.
