Appointments

Appointment System

All patients will receive a telephone consultation in the first instance and appointments will then be made by the Clinician should you require to be seen. Please call 01465 831302 during office hours to book a telephone consultation.  We aim to offer a telephone consultation on the same day however, this is not always possible.  Please note that if you have a preferred practitioner you may have to wait longer.

Please note the practice takes part in the teaching of medical and nursing students. Your consent will be requested before you are seen by a student.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • phone us on 01465 831302, Monday to Friday from 8:30am
  • click 'Cancel an appointment online' and complete the details

If you need help when we are closed

After 5:30pm and at weekends please call NHS 24 by dialling 111 if you have an urgent need to see a doctor. Please only call the service if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor or nurse you would prefer.  Please note that if you have a preferred practitioner you may have to wait longer.
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If possible please try to telephone Reception before 10am if you require a home visit as this allows the doctor to prioritise calls and plan the most efficient route.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
